Green tea consumption improves working memory

Our study “The Effects of Green Tea Extract on Working Memory in Healthy Women” by our recent PhD graduate Yibin Liu has now been published in The Journal of Nutrition Health and Aging. This study demonstrated that acute supplementation of decaffeinated green tea extract may enhance working memory capacity of women between 50 to 63 years of age, providing preliminary evidence that consumption of green tea extract may enhance the cognitive performance in older adults and thus provide potential chemopreventive benefits in this group.
